Letter from Stewart of Elyria, Lorain County, Ohio (1-30-1833) to Sister
Anna Burnham of Mayhew, Mississippi, re. founding a co-educational
seminary in Russia, Ohio on the principle of manual labor and training men and women
for work as missionaries. Also commends her for work among the Choctaws. An additional
note by his wife Elisa C. Stewart dated 2-25-1833 is more newsy and speaks of the missionary
spirit in the United States.
