LEWIS CASS TO WORTHINGTON Zanesville June 29th. 1813 Dear Sir, Col. Porknis[?] has announced to me his vrillingness to hold the Colonelcy of the 27th Regiment. He informs me he has communicated to you the change in his views. I trust other arrangements have not deprived us of his services. I trust you vill not be displeased if I trouble you with a small commiss- ion It is to purchase for me and bring with you on your return here home sixty bullet buttons such as are directed to be worn by General Officers and four gilt stars.
