WOODBRIDGE TO WORTHINGTON Chillicothe Jan 27, 1813 Dear Sir, I believe I have not yet informed you that we are procuring notes payable at Philadelphia & Baltimore, which will be finished & here in a few weeks -- Do you not think that this will render an arrangement of the kind you mention in your favour of the 16th unnecessary? The directors are of the belief that the transportation in specie of the whole sum wanted here would be not only unprofitable but unnecessary, have de- sired that our Bank should derive all the benefits resulting from the circum- locuation of notes -- Our best dividend is six per cent -- Yours amounting to 252$ will be paid to Mrs. W. agreeably to your wishes. Henry Bedingers amounting to 468 67/100S I have not yet remitted to Baltimore, in consequence at of what you said to me - I'll thank you for thle earliest information on this subject as I should be sorry to insur any blame from Mr. B. There are bets of wine taken that Genl. Harrison will have possession of Malden on the 6th Feb should a storm of rain & snow which we have had here for three days past have [illeg. ] him his operations must be very considerably impeded. I am Dr Sir very respectfully Yours Obdt Servt, Je Woodbridge 159 |
