Rennick has been elected but I believe declines serving, as yet has not come forward to be qualifyed -- Genl. Finley aerves as a director but declines, being President -- This office I have been Honored with. The board have agreed with Genl. Harrison to take up Bills on the secretary of War, to the amt. of Seventy Thousand dollars, at two pr. cent discount, this is besides fifty Thousand T. notes, 'twould be well you could make with Govt. some arrangement for silver either at Pitt. or here which if done immediate the Bank would not exact the Two pt. ct. in haste your Tho. James. Kearnes and myself cannot agree he says the corn was to be delivered at his crib and does not know how much you owe him and will not sign a recpt corn be delivered to him would ask now 2/- T.
