His Excellency Sir I appears from reports appearantly well coroborated that Captn. Brush has been compelled to stop at the Miami Rapids from the hostile appearance of the Indians between that and Detroit; the report stated that there is now at Brownstown 600 Indians Some British from Malden determened to intercept all communication with the army Under these appearances I have deemed it necessary to request your Excellency to furnish a Gard of at least 300 ren for an escort of the next provisions. By the 20tl. Int. I shall be in readiness to start betwen six & Seven hundred Cattle and a Brigade of pack horses; Hoping your Excellency will make the necessary arrangements to furnish us with the sufficient gard I am with Grat respect Yo.
