A part of the men have already arrived and the others are on the March -- Mr. Huntington starts this morning for the City of Wash- ington to make application to the Secretary at War for Arms ammunition &c to enable me the more effectually to protect the property and lives of the Inhabitants -- I hope Sir that the disposition of these troops at this critical period will be satisfactory to the Commanander in Chief and the Government of the United States -- Elijah Wadsworth Majr. Genl. 4th. Division Return J. Meigs Esqr Governor of the State of Ohio |
