OSL WADSWORTH TO MEIGS Canfield 10th. Feby. 1812 Dear Sir Your letter under date of 24th. Jany. 1811 by the last mail [sic. 1812] came to hand, respecting the 8 Acre lot, you mention, My Son in- formes me that Mr. Gittrau told him that I had sold it. he after this information Examined the Records & could not find any record of Such a sail, I do not recolect that ever I made sail of it, however will thank You to examin the records, & in case the lot is still mine I will deed it to You according to Your proporals - it may perhaps have ben sold for Taxes. You will examin, if it has ben sold for taxes, must be by a gross neglect of my agent Mr. Gitteau - I am Sir very respectfully Yours Obedt Servt Elijah Wadsworth |
