Gilman resigned.
September the 22d, He appointed John S. Gano Lieutenant Colonel Commandant of the 1st, Regiment of the Militia of the County of Hamilton.

23. John Armstrong Lieutenant Colonel Commandant of the 2d, Regiment of the said County.

October the 5th, He appointed John Wallace, Levi Woodward, John Grier, and William Brown Majors of the Militia of Hamilton County.

The Secretary transmitted to the Department of State the foregoing Official conduct of the Executive of the Territory, from the 1st. of July 1801 - to the 1st. of January 1802.
