by which it is ascertained that the said County is entitled to three Representative in the Genl. Assembly A Supplementary writ was directed to the Sheriff Authoriseing him to hold an Election for three Persens to represent the said County. Jany. 29th. Willm. H Harrison was appointed a Justice of the Peace for [end of prededing line] all the Counties which now are or which hereafter may be created in the Territory February 9th. 1799 - The Governor being at Cincinnati in the Cou- nty of Hamilton. A License was granted to William Forbes to Keep a ferry for one year from where he now lives at the Mouth of Red oak Creek in the County of Hamilton to the Oppi- site Kentuckey Shore. - The following appointments were made in theMilitia of the County of Jefferson - - - Captains Lieutts. Ensigns Peter Wireck Isaac Miller Thomas Fosset John Quin Elijah Lyon Datid Moor Joseph Tilton Hugh Ohara Benj. Wagoner William Huff Isaac Holmes John Huff David Lockwood. James Smith Saml. Hardisty Thomas Howard Jeramiah Martin Saml. Dille Jn. On the Same day James Pritchard & James McMillan were Appointed & Commissioned as Justices |
