March 23-27, 1913: Statewide Flood
This postcard shows Oakwood, Ohio, which at one point during the 1913 flood was under 10 feet of water. Residents were forced to evacuate, and many of them went to the village of Continental, a neighboring community in Putnam County. Bridges were knocked out by houses rushing against them or blown down by strong winds.
